Possible to Have Joyful Monday's?

I admit, I'm definitely not always joyous. I wake up on Monday morning's and think of how much school I have, how it's going to take all day, and how Friday night is a long way off. This Monday morning, however, I saw it differently. I didn't dread my school. I didn't think how late I'd be schooling. I didn't think about how Friday was a long way off (well, okay, maybe I thought about that a little, but not as much as normal!). My verse to get me through the day was one of my Grandpa's favorite Bible verses, Psalms 118:24, "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Over the years, this verse has held even more meaning for me.

While God makes every day, we don't always view the days as something to be thankful for. I'll admit it--I'm not joyous everyday. Sometimes Monday's and Tuesday's can seem to slowly crawl by, while the weekends fly by and are gone before I know it. The past year I've been learning to be joyous no matter what. It doesn't mean putting a fake smile on your face, it means realizing what Jesus has done for you and being thankful for it, even throughout difficulties in life. When you think about that, no matter how bad a day it may have been, it can't help but to put you in a joyful mood. Next week, count your blessings instead of your dreadings, it'll make the day go much faster in a more joyful way.
