As humans, we tend to be selfish, caring only about ourselves, and always want to get something out of every favor. Remind you of anybody? Sadly, with our selfish motives and sinful nature, we sound a lot like we're imitating satan. Satan wanted power. He was selfish for it. We want control. We can get selfish for it.
Ephesians 5:1-2 says, " Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." If we call ourselves Christians, why aren't we acting more like Christ?
